All we do at St Luke's is guided by our desire to demonstrate and share the transforming love of God in Christ with our neighbours in South Melbourne and beyond.
Services
Worship at St Luke’s happens all through the week. Every Sunday at 10am we gather to sing, pray and share in our Christian journey together. At this service we also share in Holy Communion during the service and enjoy a morning tea together in the Hall afterwards. Each Wednesday we meet at 11am for a shorter service of morning prayer and then enjoy a luncheon together. For those wanting to enjoy some private reflection the Church is open every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 12 noon
Shout with joy to the LORD, all the earth! Worship the LORD with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy! (Psalm 100:1-2)
Creative Space
On Mondays we meet in the garden space at the back of the Church for our Creative Space program at 2:30pm. This is an open community event with refreshments.
In the Community
St Luke's is a Church in the Marketplace, sitting quite literally in the middle of the South Melbourne high street community. Be it through visits to shops, engaging the stall holders in the marketplace, or interacting with the many residents who live in stones throw, its an exciting place to be.
It is our goal to develop as an open worshipping community where the Church doors are open to all who would like to come in and sit for a while, to light a candle, to offer a prayer or just to have a chat. We are aware of the limitations imposed by the current rolling lockdowns and hope to see you soon as restrictions lift.
